Results of surgical correction or conservative management of splenic cysts in children according to remote monitoring changes

Treatment of splenic cysts (SC) in children is variable and controversial. Depending on the size location these formations spleen, surgical correction possible open or laparoscopic surgery, conservative (non-invasive) management. The result SC treatment should be complete elimination cyst cavity. Purpose - to evaluate results management CS according remote monitoring changes. Materials methods. We conducted study 265 aged 0-17 years (mean age 11.25±4.21 years), who were examined treated for SC. One hundred seventy-five (66.04±2.91%) underwent 90 (33.96±2.91%) patients received treatment. subjected all information recorded medical records statistical processing. mentioned could characterize situation with process dynamic this pathology some extent. Results. most common localizations upper (33.21±2.89%) middle segments spleen (29.81±2.81%). Almost every fourth patient (27.92±2.76%) had other organs systems, tenth (9.81±1.83%) diseases spleen. detected residual 46.42±3.06% patients; it regression within 1-3 years. Residual small (which persisted after correction) regressed much faster surgery compared cystic formation (p<0.05). Conclusions.
